Megachrome (often simply called mega, sometimes euphemistically referred to as MCUltra or simply ultra) is a hypersynthetic stimulant and nootropic discovered in 2993 that is 4,000 times more potent than amphetamine without any cardiovascular side effects and a half life of 43 hours when administered orally.
Pharmacokinetics
Megachrome exhibits linear time-independent kinetics following single and multiple oral dose administration, with the liver and kidneys both contributing to its breakdown. In addition to its own stimulant effects, it acts as a prodrug of a plethora of other known and unknown stimulants.
Pharmacodynamics
Megachrome has hyperagonist activity at TAAR1, σ1, 5HT2a, most nAChRs, and many other receptors, while acting as a extremely effective Monoamine Reuptake Enhancer, with total antagonist activity at D2R, and completely inhibiting MAO and COMT. It acts as a very strong allosteric modulator for many other receptors, thought to be the cause for the lack of cardiovascular side effects. In addition, it has been noted that the user does not seem to build tolerance to the drug, possibly due to D2R antagonism or unknown secondary mechanisms. Surprisingly, in many cases sensitization to the nootropic and stimulant effects have instead been reported.
Incredible increases in BDNF have been observed in frequent users, but it is unclear if this is through direct pharmacological means, lack of sleep, behavioral changes, or a combination of the three.
Megachrome increases production of NOS, but it also enhances production of PDE5 in equal measure, leading to no noticeable effects. However, many users have suggested that it exhibits highly synergistic effects when combined with extremely high doses of PDE5 inhibitors
