Charlatanism

Applied charlatanism, a type of gaskeeping, is the act of pretending to have fake knowledge in order to hide the real knowledge you know. This is an important concept in psywar strategy, where each participant (generally referring to a nation-state or corporation's egregore) attempts to appear as dull and clueless as possible in order to deceive others into thinking that they are not a threat, while in the background they are setting up elaborate hyperconspiracies. Obviousism is a common philosophy which applied charlatans claim to understand, in order to hide their philosophies on realer level of reality.
